280m, 9 pitches. Can be started from the half way terrace, but better to approach by climbing the first 4 pitches of Divertimento.

Started with the first 4 pitches of Divertimento. I led the first two in one long pitch. Both graded IV+ but more like V - a steep surprisingly strenuous 'canalizo' followed by a delicate traverse and a crozzly wall. C led the IV diedre, and I finished with a II walk to the terrace and the start of La Alfonsada. The first pitch, up grade IV canalizos, was fun. The next went badly wrong when I went off route and ended up with a cat's cradle of rope drag to get back to the right place, luckily the crag in this area is of the 'climb anywhere at the same grade' variety. A nice wide grade IV crack led to the final pitch, supposedly IV+/V-. This was far easier than the initial IV+ pitches, even though I went too far right and finished up a supposedly harder pitch. A fine route in a fantastic setting. Toreador - Lead O/S - 13/Sep/09 with Carmen
