From south to north from Sail Liath to Bidein a' Ghlas Thuill. The pinnacles can be bypassed but where would the fun in that be??

Did the full traverse of the pinnacles, dropped a short rope for Janis on second step. Beaut day. Exited over Glas Mheall Liath and picked our way between slimy slabs on NE shoulder above Allt a Ghlas Thuill before following valley floor out to Dundonnell Ho.

Kevin Woods - Solo - 28/Jul/13

TizzyA - Solo - 20/Jul/13

Good scrambling if a bit disjointed. Doing it clockwise definitely seems to be a better way of doing it. Had to put a rope down for Dad and Andy to take their minds away from the exposure of the grade 3 climb.

brilliant scramble. "bad step" direct felt harder than grade 3 and exposed, led this then unroped, rest of ridge significantly easier
no_more_scotch_eggs - Lead O/S - 10/Jun/12 with loudfish, philip

South to North - Established ourselves on the ridge via the Mod flake to the West of the Bad Step. Felt harder due to the exposure. The traverse was thrilling to say the least. Gently does it!

Bit wet, rain set in just after we started on the pinnacles. First main pinnacle (if taken direct) was a bit harder than grade 3 and used rope to bring up Mrs MB, rest was easier. Good ridge route, with plenty of variations possible in terms of scrambling. Will come back on a nicer day!

long day - not enough time to eat; tent blowing over by a 60mph gale to follow at 3 am. - but Wow - definitely so worth it.pub stopped serving food when we got there at nearly 10.30

This was my latest traverse, having done this in both directions, many times, over many years, with many people. One of my favorite mountains in Scotland.

Brilliant weather, brilliant day, brilliant rock.

Captain Solo - Solo - 24/Sep/05

Nice day. Enjoyed the pinnacles, but from memory, some multi-ledge vertical step-ups with poor holds were exposed and a bit awkward in boots with rucksack.

Quite misty at the start but by the time we traversed the main ridge it turned into a fantastic day.
Sean Kelly - Jul/99 with Harold Jepson

Tripped down some ledges landing on my head, no idea why not injured/killed. A fine place to discover the taste sensation of raw carrot and dry roasted peanuts.
