I normally lead E1 and found this quite mentally testing - beware! As with the other two routes our party did, gear is worrying/non existent to extent that leader risks ground fall until some way up the route. The mod had added vegetation which did not help. Gear was so poor I considered slinging a thick heather plant! On reaching tree at 25m ish, gear and climbing improves and doing the slab then the whole way along the ridge gives a great 60-65 m route - if you can cope with the start! Belays at top only just adequate.

Felt too hard for a mod at the start, possibly just bad conditions but not beginner friendly either way, led it myself after partner backed off. Upper section much better.
