20m. Excellent climbing taking the soaring arete in the centre of the upper cliff. The crux would make a great photo from the descent path. High in the grade and best protected by cams.
Climb the groove in the arete. Place high gear well left of the arete before committing to a run-out sequence involving a high pocket on the left. Hard moves bring you back onto its right side beneath, or at the level of the big spike. Step off the spike and climb the arete to a tenuous finish. Belay on the fence.

Run-out and a bit snappy but great moves. The best gear in the crusty cracks were cams and tricams. Did wander around a bit for gear. I laybacked high up the arete until level with the spike -- a bit out there! Just found I seconded Nick Hancock 25/1/86 but I had no memory of it so I will leave it as an "on sight".
