Rockfax Description
A pleasant, though serious, route up the arete of The Amphitheatre, finishing up a short groove. Sparse protection from small wires. Belay on the abseil rope. Take care as the route has lost a large block high up and maybe harder now. © Rockfax

As the book says, a serious undertaking. Gear is sparse and not great, resulting in some uncomfortable run-outs, but the rock is mostly good, though with some loose blocks

Went up after partner sent us down the wrong cliff on abseil! Was aiming for the ruckle. Very poor quality route. Only thing going for it is that it is an arete. Felt like climbing up a rock version of Jenga; lots of loose blocks waiting to fall down...
