Seals breed in Parliament House cave during the autumn months and climbers should take particular care not to disturb them during the time from late August to late October when the young seal pups can be eailsiy sepreated from their mothers with devastating consequences.
A large (huge!) rockfall occured at the back of Parliement House Cave in 2017 which affects some of the routes in the cave and further rockfalls are likley!
Rockfax Description
Run Fast, Run Free for the E3 leader. Start below a crack that leads directly to the upper crack of Central Park.
1) 5a, 25m. Climb the crack directly up to the belay on Central Park at the foot of the upper crack.
2) 5c, 28m. Move up the Central Park crack for a few metres then make some off-balance and challenging moves left to gain flakes on the wall. Climb the flakes to the shallow groove and continue up this with difficulty to the top. Scramble up the steep loose slope to a belay well back from the top of the climbing - 50m or longer ropes required. © Rockfax

βeta: When you've pulled up into the dense lichen, swing right to Central Park. There's an abseil station there. | βeta? | |
