Unsure about best route through final summit wall, seemed harder than crux and unlikely at grade. Time pressing, so abbed from block just below. Jamie B - Lead dnf - 28/Mar/13 with Jamie Hagemann
Climbed with Gordon Gray. Crag was blanketed in soft snow so a lot of clearing required to find gear which is plentiful. Turf overall bomber. I linked and climbed pitches 1 & 2 which in retrospect was a mistake as communication can be difficult and the pitch meanders so rope drag was a problem. The traverse from the top of the initial groove on pitch 2 was the crux and very tricky. Once the moves are worked out you just need to commit. Not hard but very tricky. Pitch 3 very good fun and pitch 4 harder than expected with well protected technical climbing. We abbed off the top into the notch on the ridge with one 60 m rope. wheelsucker - AltLd O/S - 04/Dec/12
Early start with good walk in to sunrise. Route in shade. Gary lead pitches 1/2 up angled ramp to vertical crack to difficult right corner and traverse. Pitch 3 vertical corner with thin feet to right traverse over frozen turf. Pitch 4 with weather turning right of arête over ledges to awkward final move. Ab off top in darkness to notch. great route recomended Jasperboy - AltLd - 04/Dec/12 with wheelsucker
Great second pitch. Turf frozen - for now! Lawrie Brand - AltLd O/S - 19/Feb/12 with John Chivall
Sesame Groove pitch excellent. Almost gave myself groin strain on the traverse moves at the top of the groove. jfmchivall - AltLd O/S - 19/Feb/12 with Lawrie Brand
