Hidden - Lead dnf - 02/Feb/13

Good mountaineering route. Conditions not great. Lots of soft snow, turf partly frozen. V heavy going and time consuming. Good belays and 3 short sharp cruxes well proetected, maybe tech. 4. Other bits v run out

Took a fall on the 1st pitch, on a III - oh the shame! Some turf ripped. Luckily only ~5m & a slightly bruised arm. The turf was unpredicteable on the whole route, and the route finding necessitated avoiding deep powder over slabby rocks. Very tricky for the grade in these conditions. (had planned to climb Fahrenheit 451, but it wasn't in despite 2 1/2 weeks freeze ...)
