Enjoyable day-apart from tons of powder on hillsides. Short iced up corners gave some surprisingly awkward climbing so roped up in the upper sections for first outing this winter.

Mike & Anne moved roped together while I soloed most of it except for a couple of places where I chose an interesting way for which I asked for a top-rope. Not much climbable ice, lots of manky snow, quite a lot of mixed/try-tooling.

Ice all forming nicely. The two small ice falls are good, and climbed direct. Bit delicate in places, but still plenty of axe placements, and really surprisingly thick in places. 2 people in front of us 3, and at least 2 behind.
