Perfect line and very sustained climbing (E3 5c?) up the continuous crack and corner system featuring 4 steep corners, an overhanging jamming crack, a run out chimney section and a technical slab to finish. Alpine ED-

Hardest route of the holidays and definitely the most tiring - relentlessly sustained but no moves harder than 5c, so E3+ it is and one of the most memorable routes here - classic!

Neither of us fancied unprotectable off-width so we retreated. Some absolutely fantastic climbing!I liked the slightly overhanging crack pitch best of all

First route of the holiday, 11am. Guidebook time was 5 hours, so we thought we had enough time, as it would still be light at 4. But we'd forgotten about the walk and scramble to the base of the route. As Martin was climbing the top pitch the shadows raced across the desert floor, so I decided to leave that pitch. As it was, we did the final 3 abs in the dark. We took a headtorch on subsequent routes.
