15m. The hardest route up the shield which, despite the bolts, could barely be described as a sport route. It may not have been repeated. The hard 6c crux occurs with the bolt at your feet, and there's a solid 6b move a long way out. To make matters worse, the first bolt is a grip-clip. Start as for Bastille. Make the first move of that route then traverse left and climb boldly and directly, past 2 bolts, to the stance of Decadence. Finish up Bastille or abseil off. © ROCKFAX
