Access Banned
In June 2022 signage was installed by the landowner indicating that they do not wish crags on the west side of the dale (Griff's, Black & Deckout, etc.) to be climbed on.
Negotiations to secure access have failed to reach a positive outcome. As such climbers should be aware that the owner does not permit access to west/lower Blackwell Dale. Any climber choosing to visit therfore does so against the wishes of the landowner and should politely leave without complaint if asked to do so.
Centre of the roof. From jugs at back, reach into flake holds, then gain blocky holds just under the lip by bridging on the plinth to the right. Cut loose and do a couple of fun moves to turn the lip, then pull up jugs to tickle the tree above - Description courtesy of topo on UKB Vimeo.
