A serious but wonderful climb. The start and the Plan-Crocodile couloir are both threatened by stonefall, but after the shoulder the climbing is sound and safe. The upper sections are sustained and strenuous. A great route. Richard Weller - 2nd - 19/Jul/10 with Robin Beadle
Climbed from Chamonix, arrived the day before. 1st bivouac on large ledges above the foot of the buttress (late, it was well after midnight when we turned in). We bivouacked again on roomy ledges below the “Y-shaped” crack at 5pm. I lead the right hand branch VI finger jams, Paul jugged up and we hauled the sacks. We descended via the South-East Face PD. We moved together where possible, rock was climbed in stickeys, we cared one axe each, & I descended with no crampons after I lost them the previous day Paul-Michael - AltLd O/S - 01/Jul/06 with Paul Nurse
