Clear blue sky day, shorts and t-shirt in March!! https://www.strava.com/activities/272364353 Great day. Headed off at 730 am after a night at the car park in the camper van. We were in shorts and t-shirt by the waterfall, upstream of which we crossed the watercourse, before heading up the Ben Starav ridge. We stupidly left all winter gear (Ice axe & Crampons) at home and made a poor decision to head on up the ridge. We made it up the icy cornice, taking our lives in our hands more than once. Anyway we made the summit feeling very foolish! Then headed on to Beinn nan Aighenan after a beautiful decent to the col. Beinn nan Aigenan was in the shade so a precarieous ascent was made though a lot safer than our first. We met a party of 4 at the top and then ate lunch. Then on to Glas Bheinn Mhor which was great fun walking along the snow covered arete. We had to make rather dodgy precarious decent off the top as there was a cornice and shut we couldnt get across. After which we descended into the valley and returned to the van. 6 hours 47 mins moving time. 21.9 km walk. Great day with Lou. ANC - 21/Mar/15 with Louise Humphreys
