Rockfax Description
The flake crack is Western Grit's answer to Stanage's Heaven Crack, and it's a good effort. Layback to get established and then continue with pleasure. Finish up the wall behind. © Rockfax

βeta: Having climbed Heaven Crack the other day, Answer crack is definitely better IMO. More interesting and in a better position (Dovestones beats Stanage any day). Heaven Crack is a jug-fest and probably 2 grades easier.

βeta: Didn't find it that great, but I might have done it on the wrong day: it was quite green and a bit wet, which made me loose my composure for a bit. Felt hard, but probably the right grade in good conditions.

βeta: Easy once started but getting established is tough, id say it needed a tech grade of 4a at least. Nice route though HVD is probably about right overall. Great for learning to layback!

βeta: Much better than Heaven Crack! Really one of the nicest easy climbs I've done on grit. Looks harder than it is, feels fantastic to climb.
