Summit day on Kili exped. Set off from Barafu camp at 4600m at 0005hrs, moving up to stella point at 5735m on crater rim in time for glorious sunrise at 0600hrs. Then tiring but exhilerating walk along crater rim to summit at 0710hrs at 5895m Simply superb. 20 mins on summit then back track down to Barafu camp short break for a brew then continue down to milenium camp at 3800m for last night on mountain. A long day!
