Felt good on this today! Nearly went straight away putting the clips in but greased off of the crimp before the groove just as I was reaching for the golf ball. Got straight back on and finished the top half. Went fairly easily second go after watching Dougie do it. Conditions felt good.

Not a brilliant effort today.

A bit of Spain in UK! What a great route. Damp conditions to start with, but a lot of towel, brush and chalk work allowed a quick ascent before the crowds turned up.

Not as good a go as yesterday.

Got to the 'rest' clean but too pumped to recover. Rested on rope then went to the top clean. Barely managed to make the jugs after the groove. Should go if I can get the sequence dialled. Would be nice if there was a bolt at the top of the groove...

One quick go up to check out the holds, another to do it - what a fantastic route. Good conditions.

Tried warming up on this as it was the only line free. Bolt to bolt up until the third. Got first crux first time with beta. Repeatedly fell off the second crux. Attempt ended when I managed to get past the crux and looking down at the bolt and pumped. Fingers greased off the hold unexpectedly and I fell awkwardly and hit the rock side on, leaving a nice collection of bruises!
shed_hed - Lead dnf - 26/Aug/14 with TC, Dougie Swanson-Low

From the ground to the hard move before the jug, Then from the jug, through the crux, to the top. I doubt I have the endurance to crank through the crux from the start just yet. Quality route!

2nd go, after coming off just before jugs on the flash. More intense than The Sting, but the difficulties are shorter-lived.
cjsheps - Lead RP - 24/Aug/14

3rd RP, but basically first proper RP after rushing two attempts the day before. Awesome route.

Inaccurately quoting my partner "This route requires zero technique and is unworthy of British sport". I thought it was great;-). 7b+.

Superb bit of sport, such quality limestone down at the Diamond! Fell off the flash on the last hard move before the groove, gutted, but went down with only a bit of a fight next go. Classic!

Found it really hard on 4/10/12 partly due to grease and poor beta. Today conditions were much better. Due to a short session I once again didn't venture above the 3rd bolt. But now have a good sequence for the start and managed to use a different sequence for the hard move at the bottom that I couldn't use last time. Will it go before the season ends??
Duncan Campbell - Lead dnf - 16/Oct/12 with Tommy Chamings, Livingbone, Mason

awesome, bouldery, ave it!
Tom Livingstone - Lead dnf - 29/Sep/12 with George Ullrich

Superb. Boulder problems between juggy shake-outs. Dropped the flash last week going into the base of the big flakeline, bugger!. 1st RP today.

One of North Wales' very best at the grade. Found this quite tough, lots of effort to recover during the redpoint, not helped by The Diamond's occasional greasiness. Power endurance climbing for the first half and good character in the groove, great sport climbing. Do it!

Quality PE route with great moves. 1st session, 1st rp. Stepped up a bit this week.

Mierda! Greasy again, 2 gos slip sliding everywhere and rushing to beat the dark. Every bit as good as reputation suggests, excellent moves and engaging throughout. Next time...
