Sass di Stria (VF)** VF1A
2477m. Also known as Falz 5. Most maps show a Via Ferrata but it is really a nice short scramble, with some ladders, to the summit and can be used as a decent from the 'South Ridge (Cobertaldo/Pezzotti) Gd IV+' route. Start at Passo Valporola where there is plenty of parking. 2 Hrs.

Descent from the south rib. Amazing war trenches; hard to imagine what it must have been like fighting up there. Doesn't need any VF kit (or a grade): it's just a walk.

climbed as a 3, Biggest multi pitch up to date, and first time using twin ropes and belaying 2 up at a time, a real learning experience on the mountain, Crux pitch at the end commit to move to get into polished crack.
