16m. One of the very best HVS routes in the Peak, its remoteness adding to its cachet. Climb the centre of the front face passing a vertical crack to a fine finish up the upper face. © ROCKFAX

Nice route. Although I wouldn't rank it the best HVS on grit as it probably isn't varied enough. I wouldn't say it was hard HVS 5a either; Jester Cracks is trickier.

Very good. The start is a bit intimidating but the upper wall is excellent. Not quite enough variety to put it at the top of my all time HVS list though.
Dave Musgrove - Lead O/S - 10/Jul/13 with Bob Larkin

The best route on Gritstone? ....maybe

Outstanding climb! Couple of moves really give pause for thought. Must lead this one day, well worth the epic walk-in.
George Nichols - 2nd - 21/May/11 with Andy Worster

Hidden - Lead O/S - 05/May/11

Great route, quite pumpy, with a great finish and an interesting knee-bar rest 2/3s of the way up which came as a pleasant surprise.
skittles - Lead O/S - 24/Apr/11 with Ali Mckay

alasdair19 - 2011

What a fantastic route with a distinct beginning, middle and end.....Not often that a second feels as good as a lead. Not 5a.
Duck Egg - 2nd β - 11/Jul/10 with Tim Higgins, Jon Stewart

Lovely climb with a reachy finnish......or use the pebbles.
Steven Andrews - 2nd O/S - 10/Jul/10

Ewan Russell - Lead O/S - 10/Jul/10 with CUMC folk

chrisbussell - 2nd - 06/Jul/10 with Tim O'Neill

Backed off at 1/3 height, as I didn,t fancy the moves over the roof on marginal gear. Climbed o.k. on tope rope but tough for the grade.
Pete Nugent - TR - 03/Jul/10 with Steve Crossley

mjeffery - 2nd O/S - 03/Jul/10

Chris led to half-height, backed off, I led on his gear. Pretty dirty, would be really good if clean.
theotherpetehill - Lead β - 26/Jun/10

chrisallan - Lead dnf - 26/Jun/10

Brilliant, would be a classic if on a more easily accessible crag. Good job its not ;)
slacky - Lead O/S - 23/May/10 with Chris Saunders

Amazing climbing, and not at all polished, proberbly due to the 1 hour+ walk in, reachy but good moves. A rarely climbed classic.

Got gripped early on and was a bit too scared to really enjoy it. Felt really necky despite the fact I placed 7 cams
