P1 Carl, P2 Rob, P3 Carl, Start as for Skylon, until reaching traverse below overhang, continue for about 5-7m, before of minimal protection. Start second pitch by ascending crack on right side until ledge, trending left for 3m before ascending slab. Step up right of Belay point, before heading for top, checking protection areas as plenty of options are loose. Belay well back, however using 60m rope, there is plenty of rope to be able to belay back at edge to view your second.

Climbed in two pitches, the thread mentioned in the CC Guide to Wales (Llanberis) turned out not to be a thread at all on closer inspection. The top pitch is for the bold, in particular if that black slimy stuff covers key holds. Beginners might find themselves in a very undesirable position.

Entirely agree with everyone's comments about the petrifying third pitch! Found very few places for gear, most of which I didn't trust, and lots of loose rock. Add to that the fun of route finding and lots of traffic and wind noise making communication poor, and... well, I think it's one of those days where you learn a lot and are very grateful for the pint at the end!

P1 me, p2 emily, p3 me. 1st pitch was really quite easy though had to watch for the polished and slippy quartz in places esp. end of the traverse to first belay point. Hadn't rained in good few days (end march) but definately some water dripping off in first scramble up section. p2 was ok and fitting for grade. p3 they weren't joking when printed "be careful with suspect rock and belay well back." Really made me nervous the amount which moved, especially which looked like good jugs from below - not so protected so ran fair few metres (mid p3) out unprotected to save stopping and freezing in fear.

Nice climb - did it on a cold November Sunday. There was water running down some of the climb and the top pitch is not one to recommend for inexperienced climbers (despite the vdiff grade). Protection is hard to find and there is a lot of loose spikes that look very tempting to pull on as hand holds!

Lead pitches 2 and 3 as one pitch. Pitch 3 (and the end of pitch 2) I found harder overall than anything on crackstone rib, but then again I prefer a bit of polish to very loose rock and hard routefinding

Ian linked pitches 1 and 2 which included a neat, unprotected traverse and an awkward move up a corner crack before hitting the wrinkle proper. I led pitch 3 and struggled to not drift left all the time, following the line of the wrinkles... A super, exposed top pitch with fair gear and enough loose rock to spice it up a bit. It sure looks steep for V diff from the top belay.
