180m, 5 pitches. 1) 5, 2) 5+, 3) 5, 4) 5, 5) 5. Head up the slab just right of the vegetated groove. The crux on the second pitch features thin slabby moves that are a step up in difficulty from the rest of the route. Excellent rock with the exception of the last two pitches which are a little scrappy with some loose blocks on the final pitch. Well bolted where it matters, but with fewer bolts on the easier sections, a selection of nuts may come in useful, though probably aren't essential. © ROCKFAX
L1:5a+,35m, L2:5b+,25m L3:5b,30m L4:5a+,40m L5:5b 45m A worthwhile and homogenous route, the crux is a thin slab on pitch 2 which may be more like 5c. Good solid rock apart from P5 where a few blocks may be dubious!

Had to aid the crux on P2. Absolutely brilliant route. Solid rock all the way and a strong line

I led pitch 1 (5a+), started to wander onto the 6a to the right but luckily Carmen noticed. C led pitch 2 which was very hard at the crux (probably 5c+ rather than the guidebook 5b+) but right by a bolt. I led pitch 3 (5b), unnerving crux as it was wet. Pitch 4 (5a+) was easier but still interesting, C's lead. I took the last (5b) pitch, which had a mountaineering feel - the rock wasn't as suspect as suggested. A superb route, fairly sustained at around 5b throughout, and well bolted (the guidebook suggestion to take a small rack was uncalled for).

Even pitches, move on the second is definitely high in the grade and it helps if you are tall.
Mike_Watson_99 - AltLd O/S - 05/Oct/11 with Fiona

Great climb with lots of variety. Everything from delicate slab climbing to juggy overhangs. Led pitches 1,3 and 5. Crux on pitch 2 is tricky if you are small and felt more like 5c+ than 5b+
Fiona Reid - AltLd O/S - 05/Oct/11 with Mike

Agree with others that the move on pitch 2 for 5b+ is significantly harder than what's on the 5b pitches - at least 5c seems fair.

Debbie led p1, I led p2 & 4. Roger led p.3 &5. Most people found p.2 to be tough, I would give it 5c+. It is certainly harder than some of the other 5c's I have done this week.
Pete Nugent - AltLd O/S - 20/Mar/11 with Debbie Wilkinson, Roger Wilkinson

An enjoyable ramble which brings you quite abruptly to the summit ridge, but as Pete said, P2 is a sandbag. Better grade the pitch 5c+ or 5b/A0, which makes the route much more consistent.
