Road Closed Ridge II/III
[top of the main pitch, Road Closed Ridge, Winnats Pass, solo, 3 kb]90m, 3 pitches. The broad ridge above the bend in the road, opposite Elbow Ridge. Start up steep grass/turf (or the small icefall to the right), continue up ledges then easy snow which connects the two upper buttresses. These are both taken by exposed deviations on the right, or direct at a higher grade. A good idea to avoid this route unless it's properly frozen as the rare plants on it are one of the reasons for the area's designation as an SSSI.

Darkskys - 2012

Good fun. Lower 1/3 starting to thaw but top 2/3 bomber frozen turf. Took the middle butress direct (same grade). The exposed traverse right at the top then pulling back onto the ridge propper to finish is fantastic.
