Rockfax Description
20m. Follow V-Corner until the final v-corner. Traverse right and cross the rib bounding the corner to the bottom of a large turfy slab, with an overhanging left wall. Belay in the corner at the base of the slab. Climb the slab (peg) and exit directly up the corner (III). Easier climbing to the top. © Rockfax

Think this is the route we did. From the top of what we now believe to V-corner we ascended a small gully past a short ice fall on the left, then past the peg on the left and arrived at the hard corner shown on a lot the photos for v-corner. Turf was frozen but the ice in the crack was rotten and i took a fall from a third of the way up, re started back at the peg and this time made it so classing the fall as a practice. Not done loads of III but was the hardest winter route I have done so far, probably due to lean conditions.

Felt very hard and poorly protected for a III. Good though.

Didn't quite seem to match the description. The easy traverse round the rib on the right was the trickiest bit, the slab was more like a groove, and the exit up the corner didn't feel like III. But hard to see where we might have gone wrong, so I think maybe the description applies to different conditions. Will led this pitch, then I traversed back left acrosss the top of the V Corner to finish up a harder-than-it-looked icefall (grade 4?) and another shorter icefall, leaving a short climb over the cornice to the top.

I'm fairly certain this is the route we did. After the turfy slab we traversed back in the V corner, then Simon led up a short vertical ice fall on the left and continuing icy steps. Made for a good route overall (though the ice fall was tricky and looked a scary lead!)
