Very little snow and what there was was soft. Made the chockstones a bit more full-on but still fine. Firmer higher up.

Soloed in Walshes while on a run around the fells. A big mistake really due to large amount of powder snow & spindrift coupled with very strong wind. Ropes etc advised in these conditions!

lots of free running water and remnants of icy snow made this v.hard work without any climbing equipment. would be much easier tackled when dry and warm rather than new years eve!

Getting a bit thin but still no sign of a chockstone (perhaps it's been nicked for someone’s garden!) snow was very sugary and towards the top was an awkward rock step. Still a pleasant outing.

A handy little route. Still no sign of the chockstones; well banked out with granulated and powder, needs to consolidate more.

Extremely strong winds on top and stinging spin-drift. Fairly sheltered in the gully until the last 20m. Went straight up from top to bottom. Didn't see this traverse or the chockstone.

In reasonable nick. Not steep. Did not see the chockstone either. Horrific winds/spindrift on topping-out.

Regretted roping up until we got to the chockstone which we avoided due to the minimal amount of snow on it. I went up the ramp on the left then traveresed right along awkward ledges to above the chock stone. This felt more like III than II. Great views on the summit.
