Rockfax Description
8m. Weave a-way up the wall right of centre linking a series of useful but spaced holds, to a final bold mantelshelf. © Rockfax

UKC Logbook Description
Excellent climbing weaving right then left past the sloping slot - this takes good small cams but they barely protect the committing and reachy crux high up.

Got scared at the mantel and had Andy throw me a rope - well good climbing though.

Soloed Alone, on a weekday, no-one around, no-one even knew where I was. Felt more committing and extra special. Lovely moves. And definitely at least a whole grade easier than Windbreaker to onsight.

Yes. Very nice indeed. Stuff mantling at the top though, crimps away.

Put in two really poor opposing nuts and a equally rubbish cam, pretty sure they wouldn't hold a fall but make you feel a bit better about things. Defo more E3 than E2 to me.

Lead (no mats) even though the gear crap unless you have a very small cam which I do not own (size 00 i think) and even then it is very low down. Felt mighty bold, spent ages working out a way to do the very memorable move off the mid height jug. Certainly felt closer to E3 5b**/* as per the new Over the Moors guide and Rockfax guides. Ace way to end the day, a consolation price as Spanner Wall had a large unappealing damp patch.

I managed to get up this route thanks to a very tight rope from John. Very good route more 5c than 5b.

Definitely only E2 rather than the E3 suggested by Rockfax, but very good.
