25m. Death Wish Area: The first significant bit of rock you see on the R on entering the West End is a steep, cracked, brown wall R of a distinctive snaking arete. Start in the middle of the brown wall (just R of RIP Keef ...) below some flowstone formations. Climb these and move up R to the first crack. Go L along this and reach for the next crack; then go back R (no bridging R onto the subsidiary wall). Rock over leftwards to reach crimps high on the wall and use these to gain a suspect flake and ledges. Move R up the ramp and climb left-slanting cracks in the OH wall; then finish easily up the arete.

This climb is in 5 logbooks, and on no wishlists.
Crimps are still there, and seem solid. The moves to reach and then use them felt hard today. Top end 5b, nearly 5c. bpmclimb - TR rpt - 24/Apr/13 with Shunt
Placed hex in slot moved up and didn't find the crimp, I did find a crystal side crimp which failed, enthusiastically. riddle - Lead dnf - 12/Nov/11
Hidden - Lead O/S - 28/May/11
good moves with one stiff pull. easy when the crimp is chalked although can see how if it wasn't it would be harder benkelsey - 2nd O/S - 28/May/11 with Remus Knowles
First ascent. Hard to onsight: if you don't locate the crimps quickly the moves may feel like 5c. Now I've said that, the second ascentionist will probably waltz up it and pronounce it E1 5b. bpmclimb - Lead β - 12/May/11 with Clare
