24m. Another fine climb, less popular than its near neighbour but not really much less worthy. Follow Black and Tans to its first groove. Climb this to its top, move left then back right to outflank the overhangs then finish up the well-positioned crack above. A big pitch at the grade. © ROCKFAX

Split into two pitches at the Black and Tans belay ledge so we both got a lead, I led first pitch, seemed much harder than HVD as guide would suggest. Second pitch lovely except balancy first move.

fun moves past holybush an onto the ledge, noce moves up the corner easy to protect, through the roof on the left side, couple of really enjoyable moves up the crack easy to protect again (first one a bit balancey), easy terrain to finish. really enjoyed this one.

Lovely climb. Quite long pitch for a grade. My right rope jammed behind a flake. Most of protection on a left side in the crack. There was a rusty cam left in the crack on the left hand side. A group before us and after us spent some while to extract it. We tried too :)

Easy climbing, but absolute quality all the way up! Good hand and foot holds just where you want them and will take as much gear as you can carry. Take some slings to extend your quick draws for the first 5 meters or so. S 4a is a fair grade.

Seemed harder for the grade, the top part not protected but quite easy. Really long one too, have asked my friend to climb to the lowest gear and unclip it because of the rope drag.

Got there in the end! Made a mistake at the start and ended up on diamond wednesday (HVS). I'd only just done my first Severe. Lowered down to ledge and tried again. Lovely climb, just READ YOUR GUIDEBOOKS!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found this challenging for HVD, though the holds were largely good there was lots of steep ground with little in the way of rests. I really didn't have enough gear either, could have done with twice as many quickdraws, and some big things for the upper section (I ended up running it out fairly excessively).
