Upper crack damp/green. I turned up as Paul and John were thinking of TRing after the O/S attempt, so was offered the 'lead' (only had to place 1 more bit of gear + I'd done it before so it went OK)

Had to rest twice - first to retrieve nut that has been fallen on multiple times by Richard (took a lot of battering with a hex to get out) and then to free a loop of rope stuck in the crack.

VS 5b in Western Grit. Needed five attempts to do the hard move at the start, which both freaked and wore me out, leaving insufficient fuel in the tank for the sustained top section. Fail!
