The White Edge* E3 6a

Rockfax Description
Once a spectacular aid route and now a worthwhile free outing. Climb the crack just left of the arete, with a breather around rightwards on Easter Island. Get back left and continue in the same vein, until the final groove can be entered, not before time. © ROCKFAX

done this thinking it was the E1, even done the correct start which I did think was quite challenging for E1 but I just kept on pushing! E2 would probably be appropriate, though haven't done a lot of trad for a few months only bolts.

Didn't pay too close attention to the guidebook and thought I was climbing Easter Island. Didn't feel too happy with my performance until I realised I'd accidentally climbed this instead! However, I can't give myself the full tick as I did start around the corner more on Easter Island, but came back left fairly soon. It felt more like 5c to me - pumpy with some awkward moves, but with good gear and good holds. But I don't really know what it was supposed to feel like having never climbed above E1 before! o_O

No 6A moves unless you climb left of the crack at the start up the original aid line which is probably 6B and definitely contrived. Good airy climbing above though.(May have done it before in early 90s cant remember for sure)

Led thinking it was the E1. Seemed desperate for E1. Did adjudicator Wall after and thought possibly easier.
