This will have been documented somewhere but not here so i thought I would. From the saddle with the water in front of you turn immediately left and go straight up the ridge of Raven Tor staying as central as possible. A little bit of a slog with a few nice scrambly patches here and there. This should keep you 10-15m beyond the top of the crag so you shouldn't have any dicey moments over the face of Raven Tor. Makes a slightly more interesting (non-climbing) route up to the tops without slogging up the tourist path, particularly if you are not a climber.
