midge lead first pitch, then i lead the second and midge lead the 3rd, but he had to sit on the rope to get into the crack. i managed it first time on second. brilliant climb, great fun. theres an in-situ ab point that is worth taking instead of finishing up nea as the best climbing is done by now.

2nd pitch is excellent - the groove is easier than appears but I struggled on the left traverse - quite sustained. I lobbed off the 3rd pitch when my foot slipped on a layback move - had 2 good wires in but the lenght of fall meant I almost hit the sloping ledge. They only injuries were grazes to Mike's knees. Had a few more goes, but after that experience I couldn't commit on the awkward deckable move required to reach the jamming crack and the associated bomber big cam placement. Traversed into Nea and finished up that. My new nemesis !!!

Superb route. The travers left on P2 feels exposed, with the gear quite spaced, but it never gets over-difficult. P3 can be protected well (with some care and effort) especially if you've got big cams.
