A great route, three stars. Not convinced the crux traverse is 6a, more like hardish 5c, and not particularly bold. The real crux awaits in the chimney above! The section to the ledge was hard enough with jamming and bridging of sorts but above that was something else! It succumbed to tricky back and footing followed by bridging and escaping leftwards to freedom. The hardest V Diff I've ever done, now where did I put those tweeds? Nice finish up the broken crack. Did in one pitch as Ian wisely declined to lead.

Led the first pitch. The crux was fine, the two chimney sections were definitely harder. Foot slipped off the first move back onto the belay ledge on the start of the second pitch whilst I got the gear out.

led both pitches. cant believe ive left it so long to do this. both pitches are very good and once youve committed to move right on P1, the climbing is superb: big, positive moves leading into a more technical groove. moves away from belay on P2 are fairly strenuous on the legs - v worthwhile
