350m, 19 pitches.

Rockfax Description
350m. A long and pleasant route with a beautiful views.
1) 3c. From the wooden sign, climb the grassy slab and wall (3c) and then a short grassy section to two bolts. Above is a 10m wide section of grass - cross this and climb the steeper wall above for 15m (3c) to another two bolts.
2) Cross a near-horizontal slab (slippery and mossy when wet - you'll be glad of the bolts even if it is little more than a walk) heading towards some orange rock on the far side of a shallow gully which is 35m from the two bolts.
3) 3b. Climb the wall above and left of the orange rock for 10m (3b) then head right to gain a huge open gully/scoop of slabs.
4) Climb the slabs with very spaced bolts but minimal technical difficulty, drifting leftwards. The bolts are new and well placed so you can usually see the next one from wherever you are.
5) The rock gradually steepens and improves in quality after 150m leading you into a left-leaning corner/ramp which is followed to a tree next to two bolts. Scramble up and left to a cairn and a path which leads nicely to the Buvette in 5 minutes. © Rockfax

βeta: Calming slabs for our last day in Chamonix. 2 harder parts we pitched, the rest we simul climbed. Bar at the top just down the hill to the right serving chilled beverages and food!

βeta: Chamonix 22 guide mentions a sign on a tree before the last 5 mins approach. I didn’t see this, however the approach path is easily seen to the right just before the large rockfall zone across the main path. Once on the final approach path you’ll see the wooden route sign n the right, before the long rebar ladder. Don’t go up that, it leads to a dead end at the electrical building.

βeta: If heading to this from VCA, turn right at the top where the main path enters the trees and make a sharp left. Follow it down through the power station / cable car and go down a ladder on the left hand side past the buildings.
