Pie Arete E3 5c
[Sam Marks on Pie Arete, 2 kb]7m. The left arete of Contraband Buttress provides a technical examination. Climb with ease on good holds and pockets (gear) to a high crux mounting the ledge where neat footwork pays bountifully. A tricky route at the upper end of its grade.

Ross Kirkland - Lead O/S - 11/Apr/14 with Matthew Thomson

Misleadingly straightforward low down compared to the top. Glad I saved the onsight from last time.
Matthew Ferrier - Lead O/S - 14/Aug/13 with Malcolm, Franco Cookson, Dave Warburton, Sam Marks

Quick clean and rehearse, squeezing this ascent in before we left. Easy when sequence is found and adequately protected. Good flash from Sam straight after (it had to be!)
Dave Warburton - Lead RP - 22/Jul/12 with Matthew, Karl Marks, Franco Cookson

Cracking, used Daves gear, first E3 flash!
Sam Marks - Lead β - 22/Jul/12 with Dave Warburton
