Badly described in the book as the scoop is fairly non-existent and the peg has now gone completely, there is a 00 friend above it tho. Essentially climb rightwards up to the ramp, then climb fairly direct above the high point of the ramp (above a small plant just right of the quartzy area) with some fairly spaced protection. E2.

Ticklists: Culm - When the tide's in., Alex's Cornwall and Devon ticklist.

Bold and technical - quite high in the grade

Felt very hard and bold today, slipped twice (but no rope jiggery pokery).

Wonderful climbing on great rock following a lovely subtle line. Perhaps E2 now the peg has gone but the new one on velupte can be clipped and helps ease the run out to the top

Felt bold without the peg, I tried to lead it, but backed off. More like E2.

Brilliant route but bold for E1 - I would say E2. The peg is long gone. I stretched right to clip the peg of Volupte. Clipping the peg took me several goes to clip and I had told myself I would down climb unless I could clip it as I wasn't happy carrying on with the pro I had in place. The climbing isn't that hard, it is sustained and very good. Really enjoyed it, got well into it. The top out is scary!!
