Restricted Access

Climbing in the quarry was historically banned by the landowner. However, parts of the surrounding land and some of the rock face are now mapped as Open Access land.

Taken from a description in John Nixon`s "Limestone Climbs in South West England",1964.The Oak Tree at the top of the Wall is easily identified, start immediately below this.1,15m`s Climb straight up on awkward holds to a small ledge below a "miserable little tree". 1a,20m`s The Crooked Start. Easier than the original. Ten feet right of the previous start is a bulging wall. Climb this until it steepens to a wall of loose blocks, traverse left until the Original Start is gained, then up to the ledge and tree.2. 20m`s,Climb the short wall to a ledge above which is a steeper wall.Oak Tree Wall goes right here. Continue up the wall to the top...Not now climbable.
