First ascent of this route including an easier turfy pitch one, what I remember to be quite a bold and technical second pitch up a crack on the ridge crest, with another pitch with a thin start to a short final pitch up a torque crack above a grassy platform. I should emphasise that the route name on this site and in the SMC guide is WRONG , both in terms of history ( look at the calendar!!!) and in terms of the sentiment as the only reason we named it Thursday the twelfth was because this comes before Friday the thirteenth. Our name was thus an ironic comment on the fact that we were avalanched on our descent to my very considerable injury and Ewen's very considerable anxiety. Although I am certain I reported the correct route name to the guidebook writer Ken Crockett ( who worked for the same company at Ewen and I the time) and have since raised this issue with the SMC it seems still not to have been corrected. It is a matter of particular annoyance to me that this route name is wrong given that a) I almost died doing the bloody thing b) It puts the reported name in conflict with the actual date of the first ascent and c) it entirely removes the intended irony . Believe me if it was open to me the word wrong wouldn't just be capitalised but be in bold type 100 miles tall.
