A worthy eliminate line which has some good positions. Step left out of Fulmar Pants across the steep wall. Climb past a thread then move back right to a ledge at the break. Ledges on the wall above lead to the finish of Fulmar Pants. © ROCKFAX

Gripping on the top wall.

I thought the crux was going to be the middle section, but that bit was quite steady with good climbing and then I thought it was all over once at the big break as the rockfax makes the top sound easy. Found the top by far the crux, perhaps made worse since I didn't compose and de-pump properly before setting off. I guess there is gear up there but I got too pumped to start looking or place it so my last gear was a single wire at the bottom of the break. Glad I didn't take that fall!

Tried to go direct at the top, didn't see the fact it went left or hear Ollie suggest it due to a fierce pump! Felt E4 to me!

Felt really bold and pretty hard, will have to try doing what the CC guide says at some point.

Great climbing to the big break. From here its still as good but hard to hang around and place good gear and hard climbing. felt E4 6a. Seemed like it may have lost holds?
Alex Mason - Lead O/S - 15/Jun/11 with Tommy Cole

dont see why Fulmar Pants gets no stars - the start of this was lovely. anyway, cool climbing that feels a bit committing and certainly reachy. i went straight up from break but CC guide says go left. thread was knackered but can be backed up with an obvious good thread just beneath and assorted other good gear nearby.
