Rockfax Description
If Swordfish is one of the best E3s in Pembroke then this is one of the best E2s. Climb the corner to the roof, as for Swordfish. Traverse right along the breaks then move up to another roof. Traverse back left to a small ledge beneath two cracks. Climb these then bear right into the corner and follow it to a break. Using a hold on the right move up to a continuation corner to the right of a roof. Follow this to the top. © Rockfax

Up there with the best routes/experiences on rock I've had. Abbing in itself is exciting for the first time. At 6pm in the dying light and with tide coming in the whole build up was gripping. The route is simply brilliant and from a steep, in your face beginning it doesn't let up in quality or difficulty all the way to the top. Rocking up into the blank groove was the highlight of a half hour filled with highlights. Must return for Swordfish

Tide comes in fast... Belaying got a touch tense but Andy topped out in time... Just. Great effort from AW as bottom half of route was gopping... Sustained and steep and high quality all the way.

Bit scary on the second to go under the roof with massive swing potential. Got very very pumped on this. Bit stiff to warm up on, we decided afterwards

Amazing whole body pumpfest, lost about a gallon of fluids on v warm afternoon, glassy, greasy and wet holds on first half got pumped and used up all my chalk, daunting after second roof to look up to see another 20m of steepness ahead, totally full on for me, took a day and a half to recover, best route I've done this year. 22 runners

I found this very draining after not enough sleep.

Fell on bottom partly due to greasy holds.

Another amazing route at this exciting venue. You need plenty of gas for this one, the top groove is awesome
