Mortality Crisis** E4 6a
[Machete Wall / Mortality Crisis / Inkerman Groove / Black Death / Wogs, 4 kb]A fine modern wall pitch linking some subtle features on the face between Machete Wall and Inkerman Groove. Start up Machete Wall to the small white corner. Traverse left to peg and then up to a horizontal break. Take the shallow right to left trending groove to a peg at its end and make difficult moves onto the edge of Inkerman Groove. Move right (thread) and up to meet the top of a thin crackline on the right. Easier climbing gains the finish of Inkerman Groove. © ROCKFAX

Did it this time, after previous fall when attempting onsight. Excellent route with good protection.

Mega. I TR-ed Black Death when I first started climbing and so was always saving this. Brilliant technical climbing that is for the most part well protected. All the Cassin rings are brand new, threads in good nick, plus you get some sinker small wires. One peg in the groove is poor but it is not crucial.
Duncan Campbell - Lead O/S - 26/Jun/14 with Brian Hannon, Pete Saunders

Fell just after second ring peg due to shoddy footwork - then the heavens opened. Will try again soon. Very good climbing.

Really good climbing. Top section of route gives exposure and technical moves with decent holds! Spicy I believe... Had to take a rest as my shoes have little amount of traction on limestone (Cramping out).

Tough hombre! very powerful moves traversing the face, (too powerful for me- took one rest). Very hard, sustained 6a climbing.
