Climbed with Ed Lemon. Not really onsight because after I managed to go the wrong way (right before the first belay) and ended up trying to climb up the arete instead of the corner, gave up and belayed from the small ledge under the arete! Ed then seconded up and rescued me by setting up belay in the correct (?) place under the corner, belayed me over, and so I ended up leading the second pitch as well.

First Trad of the year, and how bad was I? Led p.2, got pumped faffing around and placing gear. How can it take 6 goes to select the right piece of pro? After all the hanging around I didn't have enough grip left to make the pull through on the arete below the tree and took a short fall onto a cam that held. Must have knocked some of the rust off anyway, because I climbed better through the rest of the day.

Really nice route with a fun little arête - although I managed to completely cam my finger in crack on the arête which required me to reverse the crux and un-cam! D'oh! Fun nether-the-less! :) P.S. There is a massive sling placement around a stalagmite looking thing just in the mouth of the cubby-hole on the back wall for the 2nd pitch belay.
