Rockfax Description
An impeccable and varied climb that takes on the full height of Low Man's central wall. Start 3m right of the base of Raven Gully at a protruding flake in the low line of overhangs. Climb past the flake and follow thin grooves to gain a horizontal break. Make a difficult couple of moves left and then up, to the base of a larger curving groove. Climb the steepening groove then make strenuous moves up left to a rest at its top. Move back right and stand on a small knobbly ledge. Technical moves away from this rightwards are rewarded with easier climbing that leads to the summit. © Rockfax

Great route, first E3. Was freezing at the top!! Retrieved a nut from the final thuggy section shortly before the rock-over/ mantle If this is yours, drop me a message, tell me the size and the tape you've marked it with (and your address, obviously!) and i'll post it back. Happy tradding :)

First e3 onsight (thanks matt) and amazingly it went smoothly. Great route with some varied climbing. Struggled with the mantle for a couple of attempts then did some weird frog move to get up it.

Got myself too strecthed out on the tricky traverse past the dodgey peg! Laughing as i came off at my mistake and then got annoyed because i lost the on-sight! Rested on the rope and finished clean with horrendous rope drag... whoops. Absolutely stunning route

Incredible climb, just immense! So varied, sustained but with definite crux sections, awesome gear placements, and desperate finish (I think I went too direct and ended up on this really thin slab way above my gear pulling on tiny crystals and flakes into a mossy groove, should have been further right) But yeah, one of the best trad routes I've ever done!

A bit mossy but very good. Felt bold moving up to the horizontal break above the first peg.

Onsight bar having photographed others on it, no discernibly useful beta gained! Massively tired before I started, felt right at my limit all the way, 3 hour epic involving traversing to the raven belay to pull up more gear before spending a *long* time committing to the final headwall.

Glad to second this one! Felt hard for E3. Continuous, sustained dificulties. I thought the crux was the initial wall. Brian led it in one pitch.

An awesome route - my first 6a trad lead. Found it hard going, did it in onepitch and suffered with rope drag. Climbing is all well protected if you have faith in pegs. Have to come back and lead it clean. E3 6a ***

Well I tried! Got to the thin move left before falling off (after very tough starting wall) and then had a few more rests before taking a good lob off the awkward move standing on the block. Thin runout finish too, overall very tough for E3 but I might just be rusty.....great climb though just wish I'd got it clean!

I came, i climbed, i dogged. Worse, i stood on the ledge pumped to oblivion and a bit scared asked for a top rope. The shame.

Ground up, second go - fell at the first peg trying to go too direct, lowered off then got right back on it. Should have warmed up. Crux felt 6a to me, but it was a bit greasy. Had to belay off to the left before going through the overlap due to lack of draws and serious drag. Was a good call - the belay at the top is further off right and would have made it sketch to belay the second well through the balancy moves and traverses. Excellent climbing all through! Quality route.
