The One-Eyed Man*** 7a s3
36m. 35m (total). This line is one of the best-positioned DWS's in the UK - it's just stupendous. Brilliant and sustained climbing throughout. Abseil to the square ledge at the base of Beat Surrender, and traverse just above the high tide crinkles, as for Snobs, to arrive at the base of a corner. Thereafter heading rightwards and gradually upwards, to trace a crazy, intimidating line up the left side of the arete. Swing right around the arete to gain a big rest and the easier, fossil-like chimney. This finishing corner is around 5+. . © ROCKFAX
A stupendous expedition weaving across the entire crag to finish up the hanging corner above the Alien Cave. Can be split into 2 pitches, using the base of the groove. From the Beat Ledge, traverse steadily rightwards, keeping just above the cave lip, to gain the exposed arete. Take either of the two good cracks (the lower one is recommended) to swing into the welded-flowstone corner on the right, and continue up this to the top. (S3, 7a)
