Rescue Groove** IV 4
[Rescue Groove climbs the large groove just left of centre, Thrash Corner the central one, Dolly Daydream the right hand groove, 3 kb]50m.

Rockfax Description
50m. Climbs the obvious big groove line. Well frozen turf recommend unless you want to be rescued. Start from a block belay and climb turf in the back of the groove to a where it steepens. Crucial nut low on the left wall. Tricky moves round the bulge to a ledge then another awkward section past a hanging flake to the top. © ROCKFAX

Bludy 'ard and scary even though good gear and well frozen turf. High pitched squeaky noises on the video attest to this...

This felt desperate for IV

good little route, turf semi frozen but could have been better. Doug took a 20ft whipper off the crux, good effort mate!

Very delicate crux. I finished by a long runout on frozen turf rather tha keeping to the rather bare looking groove on the left...was I cheating?!
Andrew Sloan - Lead O/S - 19/Dec/10

Good condition, still few bits of turf not completely frozen but mostly solid. Ace route
ollyroberts - Lead O/S - 01/Dec/10 with Will

Temperature was about +4C, the climb was solid but the snow at the top wasn't, a scary grovel 50ft above my last runner. Not one of my better ideas.
Shaw Brown - AltLd - 06/Mar/10 with Philippa
