Led the right hand fall, probably goes at about III in those conditions, very lean - crap protection.

In between 'carrock fell icefall' and trough gully there is a smear of slabby ice, probably about 25 metres in length. Plodded up this before leading carrock fell ice fall, probably II.

Lead the little gully, v. thin and hollow sounding ice, top section was bear so didnt do it. Also top roped two line on the ice slab on the right and moritz lead up a few ice steps to the right of the stream with more hollow ice but the steep steps (hard) had good ice

Did 4 routes at about grade I or II, I didn't manage to get up the vertical bit at the top, axes kept popping out! Enjoyed the slabby bits though
