lead the second pitch after the amphitheatre over the rocks. Very questionable gear before and no ice at all on the rock made it quite exciting, probably harder than a 3 for the condition on that section but I don't really have much basis for comparison.

Soloed first pitch out of Ampitheatre on good snow/ice. Went up to chockstone but ice on left too thin, and blocks of right looked well awkward. Following climbers let me tie onto their rope to save humiliating/dangerous retreat. Seconded out via blocks on the right, very committing with absolutely no gear in sight. Possible easier exit up grassy slope on right immediately after ice of first pitch.
