great first pitch leading on to rambling finish. Snow sugary higher up

Mr. K 17/Dec/11 Lead dnf

Looked good from a distance being covered in snow and a sprinkling of ice, however all the snow was unconsolidated, the turf unfrozen and the ice rotten and running with water. Everything was disintegrating in a dangerous way and I backed off the first pitch, abandoning two nuts (which would be great to get back if you find them!). This needs a serious freeze to bring it into condition.
