Rockfax Description
170m. Up on the lefthand side of the crag, is Black Buttress. This is the obvious central gully that can be seen from Buttermere. Have fun passing under and over the various chockstones. © Rockfax

Reasonable conditions - snow deep and mostly firm and the little turf affected/required by the route pretty frozen. Lead both chockstone sections. Stiff, reachy pulls on upper chockstone, as accumulation of fresh drift snow prevented through route underneath. Felt hard for the grade, though that may have been condition/height dependent.
