Hooch IV 6
40m. A mixed climb with reasonable protection, taking the wall just right of the summer line, Moonshiner in the area left of Engineer's Chimney. Start 7 metres right of Moonshiner at a large block. Overhead near the crag top is a prominent groove with a protruding block. Hooch takes the line in the next groove left of this. Follow the corner behind the block, then step left to a spike on the arete. Take the prominent bulging rib on the left to a good ledge below the smooth top wall which has a groove on its right-hand side. Climb the wall using cracks to grasp a block in the groove, then continue straight up. Pinnacle and chockstone belays up to the left (beware loose boulders). © ROCKFAX
