Very cold due to strong wind which didn't abate all day. Snowed in the morning, cleared in the afternoon. Started out of Deep Ghyll direct to bottom of steep crack below 1st belay ie started well to the L of route described which made for slightly stiffer 1st true pitch - joining route at first belay. The very 1st pitch we climbed out of Deep Ghyll provided 1 tricky move/mantel just prior to joining the western traverse. 2nd pitch seemed shorter than the 20m described and 3 pitch provided tricky ramp/slab move and contrasting steep corner. Final pitch was difficult to start then eased. Definitely not IV 4 as described above. V 5.

Rob lead P1, P3(second-half)+4(first-half), I lead P2+P3(first-half), P4(second-half). The condition was fantastic when we started, but by the time I got on P4 (3:30?), turfs were softened a lot and hence it was scary and tricky. The hardest mixed route for Rob to date, but he did really well. Good route!
